Risk Control

Property management of a sorority chapter house continues to be one of the keys to a successful chapter. Our members and their parents expect a nice facility, expect life safety requirements to be met, and want to pay a reasonable cost for this housing. The management of this property can be very complex in nature and time consuming for our sorority volunteers and sorority staff.

Risk control is a service provided to locations insuring their chapter house in the national insurance program that is an individualized risk assessment performed at every chapter facility over the course of several years. The assessments will look at the overall property management and address the life safety conditions of the facility and will have practical and prioritized recommendations for the volunteers at each location. This service is included in the cost of the coverage.

One additional service included in this assessment will be a qualified appraisal of your building value to insure that you continue to meet the replacement cost obligation under the insurance policy. The key to good risk management is to prevent or minimize losses from occurring. The Travelers Risk Control program is another tool to help our members and volunteers identify and act accordingly on risks that exist.

As our clients continue to focus on the chapter housing component in their enterprise, this will be a valuable tool to help provide even more focus and risk management and safety at the chapter property.
