IMAGE: bev-heather-small.jpgClaims Service is a critical component in our business relationship with our clients. We serve as an aggressive claims advocate on each and every one of our client's claims in the following ways:

 

  • We directly report the claim to the specific insurance company and help shepherd the claim through the process for our client. We have strict procedures in place to monitor the claim closely to ensure that it gets the appropriate attention from the adjuster.
  • Consistent and detailed claims communication is critical to ensure that the client is kept up-to-date with the progress on a claim.
  • Quarterly reports are given to the fraternity/sorority leadership of the claims activity and results. At the renewal presentation, a thorough analysis is completed and the reports are shared with the leadership to disburse where appropriate.
  • Carrier has claims offices throughout the United States to handle every insured location.
  • Carrier uses predominantly inside claims adjustors on the claims. The carrier's use of "independent adjusters" is infrequent (i.e. less than ten percent of claims).
  • We have national "Special Handling" instructions for all of the insurance company's claims personnel to refer to when adjusting one of our claims.
  • We have instantaneous access to all of the claims adjuster's internal notes on every claim, which is an extremely valuable tool for us to utilize on our client's behalf.
  • We monitor all "open claims" and follow an aggressive system of pushing for closure on each claim.
