If you have a House Director, we recommend that she be present at the house. We recommend that you have them sign an addendum to their housing agreement that lists the dates of their early move-in, mentions they need to follow the house rules (no alcohol, candles, nonmember guests, no use of the kitchen, etc.), and that your organization is not responsible for damage to their belongings. There are no stipulations or exclusions in the insurance policies about this situation, so coverage would not be affected. You probably want to think about the precedence this creates and maybe create some guidelines around what situations you will agree to accommodate in the future.
