Your organization’s liability policy does include coverage for events involving boats. For events involving boats over 50 feet, which are often chartered for formal events, there must be a crew under a written contract for coverage to apply. While there is coverage for events with boats, we feel that the rental of smaller boats is risky, especially where a member is driving. We also feel that events involving white water rafting or being pulled behind a boat, including water skiing or tubing, are also very risky and should require the participant to sign the waiver template found on our website.
